[788,489,339] Normal rarity sentinels still dropping despite node that upgrades them to magic taken

was in a Pillars of Arun map I'd opened normally (not Kirac)
I thought the node was working properly since I'd only been getting magic drops or higher since taking it.
So would suspect either something in the latest patch bricked it or it's related to unique maps?
or maybe I'm misunderstanding what it's actually supposed to do, idk

Just because the map was a unique map, I think.
They denies the league specific contents.
