Help: I die a lot, don't know what to improve

Hi everyone,

this is my first char, I'm up to lvl 84 and tying to explore the atlas. Currently stuck at maps of tier 7, where I die too much to lvl up anymore.

I don't know how to look at my stats or what kills me to know what I should improve.

How should I go about to analyze that ?
Is evasion important ?

Suggest you look up a minion build on youtube. Itll give you a wider view of how minion builds are designed to work. I didnt look at your tree, but your items arent very good IMO. A few tips?

You have vaal skelly and regular skelly gems. ditch the regular skelly gem. you only need the 1.

tabula 6 link chest and pick a minion to buff up. There are builds that center around just about every minion type. Once you have your main minion picked out you can decide how the other minions fit in.

Tons of stuff to learn to get a good end game summoner. If you dont want to figure it out all on your own youtube is your best resource to get started imo.

My lvl 100 is a pretty beefy ele carrion golem build if you want to see something to aim for and an idea of the types of skills that make sense w/ that kind of build

You only have up to 3 links. Definitely grab a Tabula and run your Carrion Golems there. Check into League Starter Minion Builds. Find the ones with guides that take you through leveling.

you die a lot because your only defence is your resistances which might not be even capped, and sometimes you might run maps that have mods with -resists or curses that lower your resistances.I havent checked your items but I guess you run around with -60% chaos res and 0% physical res too. Dont fell bad that is how I played PoE the first 4-5 years.

How to increase physical res ?

how about evasion ratings, useful ?

This league we had a party for physical resistances through Armour. But wait and see what changes the new league brings. Evasion is near worthless if it is alone and just for defence. Evasion means you will be dying as fast and as much as before, but from oponents spells.
In this league the big money were to overcap elemental resistances + potions + as much armour as you can get + attack/spell block. In other words:
Physical:Determinations aura with the items below
Elements:The overcap on elemental resistances is more complicated for a beginner like you. It needs a specific jewel and some item(s) that give in one element overcap numbers.
Chaos: I choose Chaos Innoculation = immune to chaos.
Others add in the mix the mode (%chaos res) in their items (expensive)
There is also other more complicated ways which dont worht it if you are trying all the above. You cant spread too far.
Most of the people told you what is best for now. Choose a build guide from the threads here, copy it as much as you can, as well as trying to understand the inner workings of it. Also ask a lot of specific questions when you do, not general quastions that have 5 pages answers.
