I almost never see Trickster?
Been playing for the last 4 seasons a lot. I almost never see Trickster when I trade. Why is that?
I looked into Trickster and looks like he doesn't excel in anything except for free travel cost? 1. Chaos DoT? Pretty sure Occultist beats him. Occultist pretty much beats most classes. lol 2. Poison? I am sure Assassin and Pathfinder are ahead of Trickster. 3. Fire DoT? Elementalist and Chieftain are ahead? 4. Damage conversion is one thing I never really get. I feel Trickster is horribly designed for its name. When I think of Tricks, I think of annoying debuffs. Occultist is already the queen of debuffs but Trickster should excel in Blind, Knockback, reflecting mirrors when you get hit. The new mastery has Blind and Knockback. I immediately thought Tricksters should be the king of status effects. I don't want more damage on Trickster as Occultist will beat him. I do like Trickster having an ascendancy point for Channeling. I just wish it could do more. Like when he channels, trigger spells are fired faster? Something that other classes don't get. " Occultist is a strong class, but I wouldn´t say it "beats" other classes. Very hard to compare - the strongest parts of the tree are not even in the witch-area, but Occu has offensive as well as defensive capabilities, while it´s also fun as hell with the explosions. One thing is clear though: It indeed outperforms trickster by a big margin. " True " Also true " I wouldn´t go ahead and let the name put a identity on it, but that´s the problem: Trickster has no identity anymore once they removed the ghost shrouds and put them on the passive tree. The whole ascendancy is lackluster in power, identity and also consistency. 100% less dot damage taken over 5 seconds on a 10sec cooldown or whatever it is is not a bad notable per se, but people 100% prefer consistency, ESPECIALLY when it comes to defensive mechanics. Channelling and dmg-conversion are the open spots where u could put in design-work for the trickster-ascendancy, right now there´s no reason to pick the ascendancy over any others so there has to be a rework to make it more interesting. |

I actually hate damage conversions. It is not a play style. I am still somewhat confused by how you "double dip" on damage conversions.
Wiki says Trickster is jack of all trade. If I want jack of all trade, I would play Scion! Tricksters needs more than just DoT. I want a better channeling gameplay that's not Cyclone. I want more tricks like better Blind, Knock back, Smoke, Immoblize, and I actually want to enjoy Arcanist Brand but they nerf it too hard. Would be cool to cast different spells during Channel and Arcanist and Spellslinger with Trickster. |

tricksters are strong league starters...that's why when league progresses you see less and less of them

same, just got back into the game after awhile and it seems like i never see one anymore.

I think there is potential there for a prolif DOT elemental build, thinking of trying something along these lines with explosive concoction next league but the problem is trickster seems pointless when you can just go crit assassin instead so why even bother? Needs a buff of some kind I guess or more lucrative defensive options for HC or something. |

GGG turned the game into a generic D3 You can do any build but one or the other is effective...you choose, either do a meta or keep running the same thing over and over with other...aside of the exalted RMT that is like a virus destroying the essence of the game...
Just play...avoid spend you RM and have some hours of entertainment... " |
