Grinding Gear Games is looking to urgently hire for a wide range of development roles to support the development of Path of Exile and Path of Exile 2 from our office in Auckland, New Zealand. While we are ideally looking for applicants from New Zealand and Australia, please contact us anyway if you're a perfect fit for one of the roles and are based outside of these countries. C++ Gameplay/User Interface Programmer


Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of modern C++

  • 6-months (minimum) of commercial game programming experience in a professional studio
  • Must provide C++ code samples with application
  • Must be able to pass our technical C++ programming test (approx one hour long)

Level Designer


Responsibilities:
  • Create immersive and replayable gameplay that supports and enhances the core mechanics and aesthetic.
  • Ensure a high level of quality through close collaboration with the Creative Director, Art Directors, Game Designers, Environment Artists, Sound Designers and other disciplines.

Responsibilities

1) is there an employee discount on supporter packs....

2) more serious what flavor of Linux are we talking it makes a difference. If you get a rhel guy... Chances are he ain't your Ubuntu or Gentoo guy. Based on your software listed... No tea no shade... It could be any none enterprise supported flavor. Feels good that you have some stuff in there for cdp and config as code... But then we are talking about server build stuff. I am sorry but please tell me the game I love and support is not run on some home grown pc under someone's desk. You have got to have enterprise hardware or cloud deployed vms at this point. You normally save that for the technology interest section of interviews or ability to troubleshoot section.

Although... The post does have me thinking of the zabbix proxies you have to have running all over the place to feed all that data back, and I'm curious if you are using grafana to sell that data leadership, or did you get them to spring for tableau for prettier graphs?
