Error loading metadata into runtime error crash

Hi,

As describe above, when i start up PoE (steam client). I usually get a 'Error loading metadata' message first. After the message PoE closes and i get a runtime error crash.

I tried verifying the files through steam, clearing appdata, etc. Drivers are all up to date, already reïnstalled it twice.

Reïnstalled GPU driver and tried the standalone client... still the same.

Anyone that know any fix for it? Can't seem to find a good one online.

second image says "error expected version". looks like problems with the resource file "content.ggpk".

since you reinstalled the standalone and steam versions from scratch the file and its content should be up to date and ok and you certainly did run packcheck.exe on the standalone one there isn't much more you can do.

maybe check the game's logfile for errors?

it's also possible that your provider hosts faulty copies of your files which you have to update (use another internet connection or vpn to prevent downloading them) .

Have you found a fix? I just experienced this when trying to load into "The Quarry"..................
