Question about MoM, Petrified Blood, Recoup, Block

I'd like to try a different build for 3.17, so i'd like to know if the basis of this will work or if i'm completely off. I foun different threads, but none quite answered my questions.

Templar Hierophant

Divine Guidane w/ Cloak of Defiance - Gives 50% MoM

Prism Guardian socketed with Petrified Blood, Tempest Shield, Purity of Elements - Goal is to achieve 51% life reserved with all passives

Infused flesh and Vampirism passives - Bringing me to 50% life recoup

Glancing Blows - Bringing my block to around 65% / 75%

Arcane Cloak for additionnal defence layer

Now for question
1- How will all these defensive mechanics prioritize? As i understand, something like this should occur.
a) I get hit
b) Roll for block; success then i take 65% of the dmg since Glancing Blows
c) 75% dmg to Arcane Cloak (until it's down)
d) ES stop some of the dmg
e) Rest of Dmg goes through MoM, 50% to life and 50% to mana
f) The life part of this dmg then goes though Petrified Blood, making me take only 60% of this instantly, then 40% spread over 4sec.
g) The dmg spread over 4sec is completely offset by the 50% life recoup

I know it's missing the elem resist, phys resist from this order but it's only to give me and idea how it works.

Now for an exemple, unlikely to happen this exact way but its more to understand the logic. Using some stats i have in 3.16, my character has:
2000 ES, 3000 Life, 4500 Mana and Arcane Cloak is up 2900.
a) I get hit for 20k dmg.
b) I block, leaving 12500 dmg.
c) 75% to Arcane Cloak is 9375, being reduced by 2900 active arcane cloak which overflows 6475 which is added to the part(25%) not going through arcane cloak, leaving 9100 dmg.
d) ES reduces it by 2000, leaving 7100dmg.
e) MoM sends 3550dmg to life, and 3550dmg to mana (which i'm very likely not having now, so let's assume i still have 1000mana). The real dmg to my life is now 3550+2550= 6100.
f) Petrified Blood now sends 60% of that to instant dmg to my life 3660 and the remaining 40% to dmg over 4sec(reduced to 81% for gem lvl20) which is 1975.
g) 50% life recoup, as we take 6100 dmg to life(at point e), means i heal for 3050 dmg over 4sec, negating the dmg over 4 sec completely.

Result: I'm still dead cause i have 3000 Life, and i take 3660 dmg :S I think somewhere between point A B or C, dmg reduction like resists or phys red will also apply. Anyway, am i mostly correct in my assumptions? If not, help me out!

Thanks!

65% of 20.000 is 13.000 not 12.500.

Also no resists/Armor/phys reduction check in your example which should happen right after block/any avoidance before arcane cloak even.

Keep in mind that recoup only work with hits, the prevented damage from Pettrified blood is taken out of the hit, therefore it will not be recouped, nor will it trigger recoup because it is damage over time.

To my understanding any damage that is not prevented by cloak or Petrified counts as damage taken and that is the amount of damage relevant for recoup, MOM does not change that, it only changes life to mana.

So assuming you take 65% (which is 13.000) and ignoring damage reduction from resists and armour and such
this gets reduced by 2900 from cloak

10.100 - 2000 ES = 8.100 life/mana damage (-> 2000 damage taken)
-1000 mana = 7.100 life damage (-> 1.000 damage taken)

4260 goes to life which means you ded, no recoup. (-> 3000 damage taken because that is your max life)

2840 goes to damage over time from petrified. (no damage taken)

Wich results in 6000 damage taken (+1260 if you had more life), therefore 3000 recoup (+630) over 4 seconds,
which would be nice if you werent dead already :(

Having more mana would definitely help in this example.
But for the most part this should work, im not sure how viable that really is tho, esspecially since this does not protect you very well from Damage over time, esspecially Chaos damage over time (which is the most common).

Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.
