Changing colors of links are awfull

I have a 4 link item and all links are red. I had 9 to change colors but all i got after all was red. Red red red blue. Then red red red red. Then red blue red red. Back to red red red red. Then back to red blue red red. Then my last one went back to all red. Wtf is going on i needed was a green and got fd up th a$$. Please fix this $hit. Thank you

Nothing is broken you clearly just don't understand how it works...

Basically an item is more weighted to had colours related to its Stat requirements.
So while a item with 50 str requirement and 100 str requirements would both be weighted to red sockets the one with 100 will roll them more likely.

So most of the time using chromatic orbs isn't the best way to colour items.
At least when it comes to off sockets.

When going for off sockets using the crafting bench is normally cheaper by using the lower two sockets force two colours then add remove sockets to get the rest.
