Research encounter "instance" crash/attempting to run back in when intervention encounter pops

Title is descriptive enough, what happened is: I finished a research encounter, beheaded someone and took the portal out. Then I tried to run back in because I had dropped some currency at the beginning of the lab but as soon as i moved to click the intervention encounter started and the research area got sealed. It didn't open again afterwards, not even reentering the map or relogging
