[3.15] Battlemage Cry Doryani Earthbreaker

*Edit 05/10 Update new video

Hello this is the first time I post in forum.

Please consider this build guide is flawed because I lack the skill to reach its full potential. I really appreciate if anyone feel interested and bring this concept further.

Just best scenario, damage is not always 15m dps
I haven't activate Sigil of Power and Vaal Ancestral Warchief, this only in boss fight for a couple second and I do not want to show big number that makes false expectation.

You can see a good example of losing Arcane Cloak buff if taking many AoE, result in fast losing effective DPS:

Mechanic

Warcry Set

Main Set

All damage we have at the start is base added lightning damage from Doryani Fist, 600% effectiveness of added damage from Doryani Touch, which will be lessen by Earthbreaker and Multiple Totem, furthermore we have only 2 gem sockets left for dps support gem.

So, we lack both the flat damage and damage multiplier source.

This build core mechanic focus on that two points: Arcane Cloak for Flat Damage, Indigon and Doryani's Prototype for Damage Multiplier.

Indigon increase only our spell damage, to have it benefit our Doryani's attack damage, we will use Battlemage Cry which grant us a temporary buff that helps us convert that damage multiplier source to attack at 150% effect (which can be increased further by Increased Warcry buff effect node).

Therefore, I will play like this: because Battlemage Cry buff is snapshotted, fisrt I swap to my Warcry weapon set (Al Dhih + Redblade Banner) -> use battlemage cry -> swap back to my rare shield -> use arcane cloak (actually arcane cloak can be use anytime if not socketed in shield) -> cast while channeling to spent as much mana as possible -> place totem.

All of our damage is come from temporary buff (warcry last about 9s, arcane cloak 6s, indigon for 4s recently), this playstyle is about mana management/sync timing. Yes, this is a very unstable playstyle but lightning damage in this game is unstable anyway.

Defence

Because our damage multiplier source is set with core unique, we can have some useful ultilities for defend: CwC Enfeeble/Fortify, MoM, Glancing Blow, Life gained on block, Cwc Lightning Warp is another defence layer because we just dodge hits manually.

Actually this build is not super tanky but if played right, mapping to lvl 100 is not so much trouble.

Gear

Core Unique

Our main Gloves, the skill come from here

-------------------------------------

One of our main damage multiplier

-------------------------------------

Best with Arcane cloak spend more mana Enchantment

One of our main damage multiplier

-------------------------------------

Lightning damage mitigating as our Resistance can no longer reduce lightning damage (only affect lightning HITS).

-------------------------------------

That's for mitigating Lightning damage degen, because our Resistance and EotG have no help for that type of damage, our only choice is to regen faster, with the mechanic that focus on mana I think this flask is BiS, can be helpful in emergencies.

p/s: this flask is not meant to facetank anything, just help us not to die instantly due to lightning degen.

Other gears:

Rares with fire/cold/life/mana

For shield I prefer +1 totem mod, life gained on block.

Links

-------------------------------------
Gloves:

Multistrike - Elemental with Attacks/Pulverise - Earthbreaker - Multiple Totem

Pulverise is for mapping/open area due to very large AoE, can cover the whole screen.

-------------------------------------
Chest:

CwC skill set is here.

Actually it's up to your playstyle, the skill gem in here is just meant to spend mana.

As mention earlier, I have no experience playing with Indigon (this is my 1st time, even 1st time Hierophant). So the best I could come up with my own playstyle is that spending mana while moving around, having fortify and many defend layer as much as possible.

Different from ranged totem, this totem is melee ranged and with slow aps, mob can hit us many time before our totems deal damage, that why I can only come up with my melee playstyle:

Cyclone - CwC - Fortify - Lightning warp - Less Duration - Enfeeble/(if you already have Enfeeble in Gloves then)Punishment

For endgame boss I prefer more damage and less defend:

Lightning tendrils - CwC - Infused Channelling - Enfeeble/Punishment - Onslaught/Culling strike - Frost Shield

One or two white sockets in chest will help a lot.

-------------------------------------
Helmet:

Arcane Cloak - Arcane Surge - Increased Duration - Empower

-------------------------------------
Boots:

Sigil of Power

Clarity - Blood and Sand - Enlighten

-------------------------------------
Shield (Warcry set):

Battlemage Cry - Urgent Order - Increased Duration

Shield (Main set):

Vaal Ancestral Warchief - Multiple Totem

Tree

Ascendancy

Leveling
I prefer leveling with another build til lvl 85 then refund, it is hard to leveling with 7 Thread of Hope on your tree.

--------------------------------------------------

Pros:

- Fun

- Big AoE

- Can melt static boss in 2-3s (include all Conquerors)

Cons:

- Not recommended for new player

- High mobility boss is another story, as you have to remember phase/move to make the right decision.

- Boss with high AoE damage like Minotaur is also a pain, many problem here that I cannot find solution yet: our totem die quick, arcane cloak buff lose fast as we take damage, his movement is very flexible; all of that will mess up our timing A LOT.

- Lightning Degen is lethal, play with care, avoid Mineral Pools boss if possible.

- Damage is unstable because of being temporary buff.

--------------------------------------------------

Conclusion:

This build is not for effectively farming or bossing, just fun experience and gameplay, actually if you want to struggle yourself with timing/slower playstyle then this is the build for you.

As I have mentioned earlier, my playing skill is not excellent, therefore I cannot expose this build full potential, I cannot even reach Indigon spell damage cap which will almost double our damage; my timing skill is also not honed so some of boss fights I messed up, all the rares I use are not even high-end gear, you can also use Smite for more damage if possible.

So, personally I think this build is flawed and has many room to grow, with right person and right playstyle may it will grow further.

Have fun, thank you for reading.

p/s: another direction I tried is to not use totem at all, cast spell for clearing and ramping up damage then manually warcry-heavy slam Doryani Touch (being Doryani himself!), if done right the damage can one shot most boss and even take 1/3 Shaper health per hit but that direction requires even more precise timing that I cannot handle.
