Et tu hatred?
Conversions very nice but why are the auras, especially when it comes to meele where phys->ele is so infavor of you going cold. More specifically it implies that you (atleast if you know how scaling in this game works) that you go for hatred. Even if you are scaling ignites with meele skills...
{ If you are new and wonder why this is i could say that whatever flat dmg you have on you weapon is first of scaled by the sum of all your increases and decreses you might have on your skill tree or gems. The result of which gets scaled by the sum of all your more multipliers on the skill tree or gems. } This makes hatred crazy for meele. I don't understand why tho? Why is hatred the only one that is a viable option as a 50% aura reservation for all ele-meele as well as alot of spell skills? Anger only gains flat dmg for either attack Or spell. // I dont know if anyone runs this and if you are why sacrifice so much reservation for so little? Wrath only gains flat dmg And more scale for spell. // Good for spells not so much for everything else. Pride 17% more phys dmg And almost double after 4 secs. // If you are pure phys, an obvious choice. Hatred phys as extra And more cold. Not just spells mind you but for all, no discrimination... // if you are meele and plan to go elemental conversion this is obvious choice. And i hate that this is the case so please enlighten me and tell me why this is how its supposed to be in relations to the auras. Why should hatred be such an obvious choice? Buff anger please! I definitely agree with the sentiment here.
Hatred is *clearly* superior to all the other damage Auras. I might go so far as to say that Hatred is clearly the best Aura. However, let me point out a few things: 1) Pride causes nearby enemies to *take more damage*, this is a "true" more multiplier -- it doesn't add up with anything else, it's *actually* 19% MORE damage, unlike, say the "more cold damage" on Hatred, which stacks with other sources of "more" damage, and therefore is less than a "true" 18% more damage. 2) Some builds scale better with Flat than Increased/More damage. For those builds, Anger or Wrath can make more sense than Hatred. But, like I said, I agree 100% that the auras are not balanced. I *hope*, that they'll choose to buy Anger and Wrath, rather than nerf Hatred, but either way, they're out of whack. Personally, I wish they'd change Pride somehow. Right now, it works more like a Curse than an Aura. It can't be buffed by some "increased Aura effect" things because they say "on you", and Pride doesn't affect you. Also, if you're a long range pure-Phys build, there is no damage Aura for you (unless you stack huge amounts of AoE). Further, there's another Aura that does the same thing... Flesh and Stone also causes nearby enemies to take increased Phys damage, and can be supported by Maim to get a very similar damage multiplier as Pride. |
