How can I improve my build?

Hello all, I was just wondering if someone could look at my ice shot deadeye, Ice Bunny, and give me some tips on how to improve her damage. I know she is kind of a glass cannon but it seems I'm more glass and less canon. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is the PoB https://pastebin.com/XcCSFBh8 for my character.
Did you follow a guide?

If so, can you link it?

Without knowing exactly what you were going for, my initial thoughts are this:

1) You need to level up both your character and your gems more. If you don't expect to play enough to relevel gems to 20 after flipping them, then just buy 20/20 corrupted gems (assuming you're playing in trade league). They should be pretty cheap.

2) You need the 2nd 6L if you want your single target damage to feel better.

3) If this is supposed to be a Crit build, you need a *lot* more Crit chance. If it's not a crit build, then you should remove your crit investment and go into something else.

I am loosely following several ice shot builds. Esoro has a guide and this one really got me interested: https://youtu.be/CEOMmqzFDoE

On console everything is more expensive so I was trying to save as much currency as possible.

This is a crit build. I also like to level up my own gems but I can buy some new ones. I know I need a diamond flask as well.

I think I can get some crit chance on gloves and amulet.
Looking at the guide (technically just the PoB linked in the guide, I didn't watch the video), and comparing, the biggest difference in damage between your builds is Flasks and Accuracy.

Your accuracy is actually a little lower if I import your character directly, instead of the PoB you linked.

Crit builds *need* 100% Accuracy.

Because whenever you crit, it rolls accuracy again, and if it "misses" the 2nd roll, then it's not a crit, even if you have 100% crit chance.

You actually have much higher crit chance than the guide (minus the diamond flask).

I also see that you've chosen to take some defensive nodes where the guide has other things. Both in your Ascendancy and on the main tree.

So, if you want to play the build with the same amount of damage as the guide (or even a bit more), then find a little bit more accuracy, and get a Diamond Flask and an Atziri's Promise.

Honestly, the damage in the guide is nothing to write home about.

It's about 365k boss DPS with flasks up.

And yes, you don't really care about boss DPS on a clear speed build, but since every other guide uses boss DPS ("Shaper DPS" or "Sirus DPS"--they're the same), it should still be compared that way. I mean, a 500k DPS build wouldn't be considered that good, and that's Sirus DPS. If we set it back to white mobs (like this guide is), it'll go up quite a lot (unless it's a phys-only build).

Is the build intended for speed farming T10's or something?

T16's on that DPS are going to be rough.
This was just a starter because items are very expensive on console. I can link a higher damage version. I've been using several guides. Including this one: https://pastebin.com/HgvzX2vV

I can do t16 but slowly. I wanted a character I could farm the atlas with comfortably. I'm not trying to kill Shaper but I would I would like to kill Sirus again.
I basically typed ice shot build 3.13 in youtube and I've been using different parts from different builds. I'd like to make some upgrades before I spend my last 5 ex on a 6 link Hyrris Ire.

That one is much better, damage-wise.

Still not amazing. But it's about 3x as much damage as the other one. The gear is pretty min-maxed, but it's not mirror-tier, and it's level 96. (It says 95, but it has an extra point spent over 95). But even if we removed 6 points, it would still have *much* higher damage than the other one.

It's also *super* glass-cannon. As in, it has 5k life at level 96 with Constitution anointed (and life on all the jewels) and decent but not amazing dodge and meh evasion. It does have Vaal Grace for burst-defense, though.

BTW, hybriding off of several guides is usually a bad idea. You can often end up with "some of this and some of that" where either "all of this and none of that" or vice versa would be much better.

One example of that is Crit. This PoB has much higher Crit investment. Crit is one of things were should either go all-in, or not bother with it. It works like this because Crit is self-multiplying. Each point of Crit Chance makes each point of Crit Multi better, and vice versa. So, the more you invest into it, the better it is. There is one small exception to this, which is that sometimes a build only wants the special effect of crit (such as having a small amount of fire damage and wanting the enemy to be burning), and then the crit investment can be smaller, and only into Chance, not Multi at all. But that's a pretty niche thing. Usually Crit is either "all the crit I can get, everywhere I can get it", or zero points spent on crit (maybe a little incidentally where it comes along with something else).

Anyway, it's usually better to stick to just one guide.

I didn't mention these bosses with any concern about how well (or poorly) this build would do at killing them, but because when someone talks about damage in PoE, they are nearly always talking about boss damage. Bosses have higher resistances, so they take less damage.

So when someone says "you want at least one million DPS to do such and such", they're talking about Shaper/Sirus DPS. There's a config setting in PoB to set the target is a boss or not. The first PoB you linked (the "starter") was not set to use boss DPS in PoB. So it showed nearly 700k DPS, when, in reality, it was about half that.

If this is your first character of the league, you set yourself up for a hard time.

Bow builds are notoriously expensive. And that's at PC prices.

Typically, people will play a cheap + strong build first, and then start a second character that's more expensive, after they've built up a stock of gear & currency.

OTOH, you're not too far off. You've done quite well, considering that.

Concentrate on leveling up and getting incremental improvements to your gear.

Crit builds rely on Jewels a lot for crit. Harvest is a great way to make these jewels. "Reforge Crit" and "Remove non-crit, add crit" work great together to get triple or even double crit jewels. Use "reforge crit" until you get 2 crit stats you want, and then remove non-crit, add crit to get a third (unless the jewel has % life on it, in which case you might want to just keep it).

Thank you so much for looking at my build. I appreciate the help and I'll start working on making some jewels. This is my third character of the league. I had a caustic arrow occultist and I turned her into a summoner and I just got bored with those builds. I really like bow builds and exploding whole screens.
