Sorry dunno if this is the appropriate forum, help with loot filter tweak please?

Got this wrecker of days filter that I really like -> https://www.pathofexile.com/item-filter/d71OHx

Would love to make a few very minor adjustments, but unsure how and afraid I'll mess it all up. All I'd want is to show all skill/support gems regardless of quality, and for it to show transmute and alt shards (don't ask why, compulsive hoarder).

Any pointers on what lines to tweak and how?

Thanks in advance and sorry if this is the wrong sub.

Generally, I don't recommend text-editing filters unless you are trained in programming or something similar.

Not because I don't think most people could do it, but because it's kind of intimidating and not entirely straightforward.

It's *way* easier to edit custom filters using the website FilterBlade (filterblade.xyz).

These let you start out with any of the Neversink base filters, and make whatever adjustments you want (not just show/hide, but colors, sounds, icons, beams, etc).

If you really want to edit that text filter for your own purposes, then these are the steps:

I would recommend downloading the text (or copy/paste) into an actual text editor (like Sublime or Notepad++ or whatever), but Notepad will work fine too.

Then you need to Find for the stuff you want to change, and change it.

Then upload it as a new filter. (I assume you already know how to set up a custom filter on the site, since merely following a filter has, AFAIK, never worked on consoles).

If something is horribly broken, the site will tell you that, and even what line # the error is on.

I do recommend a quick test of the filter the first time you use it -- go to an area like the waypoint for Lab, where you can actually drop stuff on the ground, and drop a bunch of different currency or whatever to make sure it shows up and makes the sound you expect.

You can even make the edits to the filter while standing in that zone and then reload the filter to check again.
