Divine Ire build help

Hi. I'm looking for help with my DI build in SSF ritual. I feel like my damage is okay (but still could be much better) but I keep dying in certain maps which I hate.

Have no idea what kind of upgrades I should be looking for such as certain influenced bases etc.

Also, I just realized I don't really understand how my damage works. What should I be looking for in a weapon?
