Game alive on xbox?
Hi,
I think about to start poe on xbox. Is the game alive on xbox or are they no players left? Is the trading really so bad on consoles? Thanks! Last bumped on Dec 20, 2020, 4:05:36 PM

I'm a PS4 player, but if Forum participation is a reasonable substitute, then XBox is similarly active to PS4.
Which is to say we have a fair number of players, but not even in the same ballpark as PC. Trading is pretty awful. There's tons of price fixing and other bad behavior, and the low number of players means that prices are high on anything popular or rare. However, the game is still very fun, even if you play SSF (solo-self-found), which has no trading. I would not let the small playerbase discourage you from playing. | |
" Right now, there's a "Flashback League" running and if you join that, you'll experience a really terrible marketplace. Not necessarily in terms of pricing, but in a truly severe lack of items. In a normal league, one would expect to see 5x the amount of items a few days into the League than what "Heist:Flashback" is experiencing. Standard League Pricing is generally about 2.5 times the price for items on the PC, with certain build-defining items going for much more than that. Supply can also be an issue for special boss-only or off-league drops. (The latter being items that can only be obtained through special map-mods or other mechanics that yield items from other league mechanics.) In general, it's not too bad for normal builds/players. It is, however, much more difficult to advance in PoE on console due to gear costs and, more importantly, a lack of supply. Though, I would not want to play this game without controller support, so PC play is a "no-go" for me. |
