Get my Series X tomorrow first game I play will be PoE.
I know it won't be a updated version but the console should now handle the game like a good PC. I am expecting to be able to run end game maps without any issues starting tommrrow.
I have 3x ps5's arriving on Thursday. But xbox will be the first I get to test. Last edited by IdleRace#6145 on Nov 10, 2020, 1:27:20 AM Last bumped on Dec 8, 2020, 6:45:16 AM

You can show us loading values, city, maps and etc. If video is a lot of work, put only the loading times.

There is a video on reddit. T16 delirium looks very good but lags af(server lag?). Loading time was mentioned 1-2 sec. for normal map.

I got to see this video on Reddit, I think the game is underperforming, because uploads are very fast. GGG will have to improve the performance of these effects and particles, maybe change directX for the vulkan, I don't know.
We will expect more results from both consoles. |

" Right now the game is running in compatibility mode on PS5 -- not sure about XBox, since I don't really follow the MS stuff. If there's new architecture, I expect it is also some sort of compatibility mode. Performance limitations are expected in compatibility mode. It's not until we have a native client that you will see big improvements on the next gen consoles. GGG has not (AFAIK) given us any estimate for when a native client will be available on next gen. Personally, I would anticipate it to be at least a year off. Quite possibly not until the launch of PoE 2. | |
I have played PoE the last 3 seasons on ps4 pro, xbox one x, and a high end PC i7 10600k 2080 super.
I was playing Heist on my PS4 pro this season. So got my Xbox Series X and S for my kids last night. Game feels no different then my PC. Smooth as butter. No disconnects. No fps drop. It's night and day. Feels like I am playing PoE on a PC with a controller. I had to start fresh so I can't test end game mapping where consoles really struggled. |

I want to add to this. I played in the past on the One X and I had to stop when I got to maps because the lag was unbearable. Well now I have a Series X and let me tell you it's completely changed everything, the game no longer lags for me and the loading times are basically instant (literally a few seconds). So excited to get back into playing this! From going from lagging when I'm just walking in my hideout to being able to actually do maps without any stuttering is amazing, I'm so happy about this.

Got my series X yesterday and PoE was the first game I played, the loading times are INSANE, way, way quicker than the One X.
Looks the same as the One X (which is to be expected as there is no X/S update (yet?)), but performance is better, not that the One X was a slouch, but it feels way snappier and there are no frame drops that I can see. |
