[PS4] Does the "Report" feature in Chat actually do anything?

I've been reporting the RMT'er spamming PS4 chat for three days now, and they're still there. Same person, I'm pretty sure on the same character (if not, the names are *nearly* identical).
I'm beginning to suspect that no one at GGG actually checks those. I would have thought RMT was one of the few things that would get insta-banned, being against ToS. Last bumped on Oct 12, 2020, 7:39:43 PM

It's kinda useful, at the end of a week/month/league/ihavenodidea they count all our votes and they banish bug with most votes from the island. Ofcourse if said bug will agree to leave said island lol.
