Slamming belt with exalt erases quality.

Hello,

For some reason when when I slammed my elder belt with an exalt, all of my (life + mana)quality was deleted. I'm very frustrated because fertile catalyst are not cheap. So far I have used over 12 of them, as I had to repeat the process three times before I realized what was happening. Now it will take me at least 20 (and that's on XBOX, so supply is limited.) because I have the belt the way I want it Is this a known bug, and is there a fix coming? Please advise.

This is not a bug, but functionality of Exalted Orbs that are listed in-game. I'm not sure how it works on consoles, but on PC hovering over the orb will display the item help text which includes the line "The item's Catalyst quality increases the chance of applying a modifier which matches the quality type. Removes 20% Quality applied by Catalysts on use."
I'd assume the same help text is available on consoles.

It is.

It's not super obvious, but it's there.

Exalts and Annuls remove all qual from Jewelry (which includes Belts), other stuff removes less.

Strange, I wonder what the reasoning behind GGG having these items removing quality is? At least make the catalysts more common😉. Ive lost so many!😅LoL. Oh well, thanks for the quick response!

Oh, I didn't see this: "The item's Catalyst quality increases the chance of applying a modifier which matches the quality type" I guess that answers my question. Might be a cool way to get more I want though.
