harmful?
i'm starting to think POE could possibly be harmful to the ps4. i havn't even been doing heists since day 1, re-entered a map and instantly crashed, causing the ps4 to dissapear from the screen entirely. i had to manually turn off the ps4. i don't really know what happened, never had a crash like that from any game so i'm starting to be a little concerned. the normal bluescreen crashes were tolerable, to an extent, and don't seem dangerous to me. though bluescreening every 30ish mins this league was testing my patience a little...

Happened to me too. I had to manually turn off my ps4, after that, the system said it needs to run the repair procedure.

In terms of Hardware damage, that will never happen, no matter how many times or how badly your PS4 crashes.
It (like all other modern hardware) has protections built in to prevent that. The worst that could happen is it could corrupt your filesystem, and some or all of the data on your PS4 could be rendered unusable. This could likely be fixed by the system software if it did happen. But not guaranteed. If you've got PS+ and your saves for other games are going up to the cloud, you wouldn't lose anything but the time/hassle of having to redownload all your stuff. The odds of the data for other software being harmed are very, very low. It might happen to a single player in Heist league, across the whole league. It almost certainly won't happen to more than 2 or 3. It most likely will not happen to any. | |
" It definitely appears more often! I already had 4 of those hard crashes and stopped playing now until this fatal errors are fixed! Luckily, I did not spend any money for this league and will not support such a shitty performance ever again! |

Had two of them. Both ended with reseting the console manual and one of the two even with taking the console from the powersource.
First one ended in a still image, but somehow i could communicate with a friend over the party function that showed that only the game croaked in such a hard way that i couldn't do anything else. But the one today, where i had to cut the power to reset it, ended in a black screen and even the power buttong trick at the console didn't work like it should. A sad thing when a game goes down that hard. |

At least the game isn't crashing and overheating like crazy the same way as anthem or fallout 76...
