(MAC) Constant crashes, never able to complete a Heist

Sometimes it takes an hour or more, sometimes only a few minutes, but it never takes long for a full crash of the Mac client. The Heists seem to be particularly susceptible, I've never been able to clear one. I've got as far as nearly making it to the exit once, but then it crashed out and of course each time robs you of your loot and tokens.
