Mercenaries, Followers, Hirelings, and Dating in Path of Exile.

Due to the upcoming heist league, I got curious as to whether there was an official thread for one of the following topics:
- Hirelings/Mercenaries/Followers like in some rpgs - And well dating mercs/maybe even other players in game For the first one, I did find threads, but they don't seem to be active and pretty old-- https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/417841 https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/7638 https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/60869 https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1831008 Cause I wanted to do some reading on how GGG is planning to "probably" implement a system for followers or mercenaries-- especially since in Heist it seems they could really apply this kind of system for hirelings/mercenaries in the core game. This got me thinking: " And that last part made me think: ...Dating in Path of Exile...? So yes, I looked for threads if there were instances of players actually dating each other or finding their significant other in the game through the multiplayer and got me to this thread: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/788364 After finding that threads though I quickly realized it was loooong dead and locked. Not sure if it's because they broke any terms of use or rules. So I did some reading (again) in the rules, regulations, and guidelines posted by GGG in terms of posting replies and making threads--- The thread in question (the one about dating) didn't really have anything that could cause the admins/moderators to lock it; so I assumed it's just because it was an old thread. Which got me thinking about why there's no newer version of it; I wonder what would happen if there was an official dating thread in poe. I mean, in the off-topic section of the forums at least (which would still be remotely related to poe cause we're poe players). With that in mind; two things are now in my head that I'm wondering if anyone's also thinking about: 1) Anyone know how mercenaries/hirelings could potentially be applied? Or theories? And will they have their own stories like in Diablo III and Baldur's Gate or just be card-board characters like in Diablo II? Cause it seems it's now very much possible with the introduction of Heist's cast of rogues. 2) Is there an active dating thread in Path of Exile? And if there's none, why not? Or is it just a really bad topic to discuss about in this community--- I'm honestly just curious as the silence of that topic in the forums, ahue. Sigh; the things that pop into my head cause of the quarantine. Sorry this is not a Sims simulator.
I can only imagine being banished into a God forsake world and thinking about having kids near hoards of skeletons and deities that just want to murder you out of existence. So yea, dating comes on the top priority list when actually trying to survive and not go mad in some kind of alternate reality map thingy. Never invite Vorana, Last To Fall at a beer party.

Dating in the game... That would be sad. Granted sometimes you actually find the love of your life online, but virtual game dating vs real life dating is completely different.
I find it sad people have to download an app to find friends. Don’t get me wrong, lots of dating apps out there, but here’s the thing pretty hard these days to catfish. If people want to be hermits and date online without ever meeting; to each their own. I’m a different generation, I like to meet people in person... Social butterfly. I’ve met many people that are terrified of crowds. But a few outings with them and I take them out of their shell. It’s so humbling to see a friend not worry about how others think and just have a good time... Right now I’m suffering because I love going out; life is more than just video games. "Another...
