10.1 breakpoint Cospri CoC
Hello, since Harvest made possible to craft many fun things, I decided to play arround with CoC a little bit, and why not go for max breakpoint, right?
Some considerations:
Spoiler
-Ailment immunity would be awesome, but suffixes are used for a lot of other things like resists, IAS, accuracy and frenzy charges.
-I'm using Hatrred reservation on helmet, along with some reservation nodes on the tree so I can use a lvl 20+ precision and buff my herald of ice a little bit. -My rings are some kind of a mess. I didn't had the patience to look for the best affixes, just went for some usefull things. -I'm currently using area nodes on the tree just for clear spd. I know there are better options for single target (or defensive options like going for block nodes and a Rumi's). -I had balanced resists, but re-crafting gear changed that, now I have high cold, balanced Fire+Lightning. -Dealing with IAS felt almost messy, I used essence on gloves, high IAS Cospri and frenzy charges to get near the breakpoint. Tailwind and Assassin's IAS while Elusive also help. My gear:

I can probably try to craft one or two more items during Harvest. Probably won't do so if it isn't a significant upgrade. Feedback from players who have experience with this type of build is really welcome. Last bumped on Sep 9, 2020, 4:35:21 AM

It depends on how much you want to micro manage to build for 1% increase of dps. You could remove lightning from your ring and aug cold to try and hit the correct element.

" Make sense. But that's also a tricky ring, don't want to re-roll caster, also don't want to "remove lightning>augment cold" because if it doesnt land, I would have to do "cold>new cold" that also doesn't quite work. Probably the best option is making a new one.
This version has not been well thought out at all.
1. It is not difficult to hit 10.X APS. You have sacrificed so much damage on your gear for no reason. You just need (a) 14% AS cospri +attack speed enchant and (b) a couple attack speed rolls on your jewels. Thats it, done. 2. You can still get ailment immunity without breaking the bank. You just skip the ailment immunity roll on the boots and use an elegant form small cluster jewel. In terms of gearing, the most difficult part here is rolling a nice belt with CDR in addition to good ES mods (as opposed to the regular belt which just needs an ES% and ES roll to start off with). Overall, its probably not worth the effort. Its cheaper and easier to gear for Kami's or Ammeron's version of the build which has ailment immunity and more than enough DPS for any content - and using 3 skill points to socket and reach a small cluster node is pretty costly when we have 48% multi + 8% ES jewels available to us. It definitely would not be worth departing from Kami/Ammeron's build to get 10.X APS without ailment immunity. Last edited by BrettLee on Sep 2, 2020, 8:11:06 PM

" 1. It's funny that I don't actually use non-unique jewels, so I can't really "have IAS on jewels". 1.1 I also don't know how you got 10.X APS with "just 14% IAS Cospri with IAS enchant and a couple atk speed roll on jewels". 1.1.1 Tested: Enchanted Cospri, +Silver flask of Acceletarion(12%), +Elusive, +Tailwind and got 8.98 APS. 1.1.2 Even with my 18% IAS gloves it goes to 9.93, it's close but not quite 10.X APS you claim. 2. I don't think I can fit cluster jewels. 3. I saw Kami's version, it's awesome. Used his guide for many ideas. But also decided to create something different, If I wanted to talk about their builds, I would have posted on the respective threads.
" 1. I know that you don't use non-unique jewels. I am saying that this is the most efficient means of reaching the next AS cap. 1.1 Which part are you struggling with? https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds/char/deeex/her_best 14% AS cospri with AS enchant 1 x jewel with triple AS + crit multi spiritual command =10 APS 1.1.1 See above. 1.1.2 Your gloves are not good. The temple mod gives 48% cold res and 50% damage with hits against chilled enemies is double the DPS of the redeemer cold damage mod. This also frees up a slot for an additional accuracy roll (t1 accuracy on gloves + helmet is important). 2. Why not? Cluster jewels are incredibly strong for scaling both damage, aoe, and also offer an opportunity to patch up any missing resistance / attributes. You ended up going for nodes like blast radius, doom cast, and prodigal perfection (not worth the skill points). 3. The point is that you have made a strictly inferior build. Yes, you can depart from Kami's guide and make your own CoC Nova version that you can turn into a guide. However, as outlined in my initial comment is that you have gone about it in the wrong way. You have completely gutted the build from (a) damage - no circle of fear, why are we not using militant faith w/inner conviction, +1 power charges/-9% cold res helmet, damage mod + unnerve gloves, cluster jewels for scaling aoe and damage and (b) bulk..should we just ignore that you aren't anywhere near max block at 50% and 40% even with glancing blows and as mentioned elsewhere, you lose ailment immunity too. So how do you get to 10 APS without completely gutting damage and bulk from the build? Start with Kami or Ammerron's guide. 1. Cospri 14% AS + AS enchant 2. Triple AS jewel + crit multi 3. Allocate spiritual command using thread of hope (same one that allocates glancing blows). That's the AS done. Ailment immunity? As I said, you just need a small cluster jewel with elegant form and you are done. Last edited by BrettLee on Sep 8, 2020, 9:17:08 AM

" 1. Was getting about 9.09 APS, untill I figured that build uses circle of fear with onslaught on hit, just a 27ex+ ring, not happening. But I guess your suggestion would be a possibility with a silver flask. Not a big deal, but at least on PoB that build goes over the 10.10 breakpoint reaching 10.37 1.1.2 Temple gloves are awesome, I took some time looking for them before making my own, but for 40ex+ they were a NOPE at the time, don't really know if the price changed. 2. Had Blast Radius and Arcane Expanse for some time to cover AOE and maybe have a little bit more clear speed, they aren't core or even needed at all. Prodigal Perfection and Doom Cast are 6 points for 26% spell dmg and 45% crit multi. You are probably right on this one, I think it should be possible and good to save 9 points for medium+small clusters. 3. I made a mistake making a pure dex amulet. If I had str+dex I would be able to swap the energy from within with a militant faith and that would be an awesome offensive upgrade, 18% more dmg for 400ES. Another problem was the helm, I just had a shaper base with the Hatred reservation enchant, I agree that -9% cold and power charge is the best options, but again, couldn't afford at the time. Just by getting a good corruption on my frozen trail I can get rid of a flat suffix and use Rumi's, going to 75/60 block cap for atk, and really close for spells (actually just did that); 75/70 with bench craft, would be tradding ES for block, cool option. Next time I'll approach the build having jewels and cluster jewels in mind, they are a little bit harder to plan arround but a good option. But one thing I don't really want is to change a lot, or go for really expensive upgrades.
" 1. Yeah..just use a silver flask or cinderswallow for onslaught. For me, that build has 10 APS. However, if you are right, and the APS is actually 10.37, then you can easily fix that by removing one of the AS rolls on the jewel. 1.1.2 The temple mod base has been pretty cheap for a while, and self-crafting the rest of it is also pretty quick and easy unless you are rolling for double T1 es. This is part of why I am saying that its more efficient to reach the 10.1 AS cap through other methods, which is both cheaper and has much higher DPS. 2. And you can reach the top left and right jewel sockets for 6 passive points and socket x2 cobalt jewels which each provide 8% ES and 48% crit multi. Perhaps those nodes are worthwhile as an interim/budget option. 3. Yep that's fine, you make use of what you have with the currency available to you. The purpose of my comments here is to just point out what seems to be the more efficient method of reaching that next APS cap without giving up much damage / bulk. At the end of the day, none of this really matters as harvest crafting will be out the door in a week or two. |
