I was going to say that this would be a great opportunity for you to learn about POB but it seems you already know about it since you've posted your links. You didn't update the gear at all, which is confusing, but isn't too much of a hassle.
It's extremely easy to figure out how well your build is going to do for general content just by looking at several things. Here's basically a checklist I mentally compartmentalize: How's my clearspeed? 1: What's my coverage with my skill(s)? (HOI/Inpulsa explosions, fork/chain, AOE, etc) 2: How fast can I go? (Movespeed + movement skills) 3: Am I clearing everything in one or two hits? 4: Do I care about killing bosses ever? (If no, skip next section) 5: Do I care about dying? (Trading life/defensives for 1 & 2) How's my bossing? 1: What layers of defense do I have and is it enough for me to boss comfortably? (Total life, fortify, resistances, block, avoidance/dodge/evasion) 2: How much damage am I doing and is it enough? (2 mil shaper dps is what you should aim for if you want bosses to die relatively quickly) Has someone been successful with a similar idea? I love this part. Go to poe.ninja's build section and search for vague skill/item setups. Since you're aiming to stack dex, you might check out other builds and see what items they're using and see how it compares to what you have setup. Same goes for Ballista Totem. Even if they're not exactly using your gear setup or ascendancy, knowing what nodes they go for and what they focus on can give you some big pointers. That being said, Hierophant isn't exactly built for attack totems. It's a lot better to go something like Ranger, Duelist, or maybe Shadow since their ascendancies actually provide meaningful damage. Most Hierophant totem builds I have seen are spell totem builds since they're right next to every spell/mana node on the tree, and are right next to the life wheel and marauder life nodes, allowing them to go for the highly efficient MOM setup and get a metric fuck ton of EHP. But the real problem is that you're trying to stack dex but you aren't using any of the strength/int transformed into dex jewels AND you're on the opposite side of the tree where the majority of dex nodes are. You're trying to take this really long and elaborate route to the other side of the tree while being efficient with what nodes you pick up and it's costing you greatly. You also want Quill Rain no matter what which is also a problem. You have Bottled Faith as one of your chosen flasks, which is 8.5 (going on 9) ex right now which means you would, hypothetically, have plenty of currency to consider ridiculously powerful weapons. This league is easily the best league to make the most bullshit busted gear in the game, gear that even Standard plebians haven't seen, and choosing a Quill Rain over that is a big mistake and isn't worth the attack speed. |
