Having trouble getting the final 2 ascendancy points...
I've failed the merciless labyrinth multiple times now. Is completing your ascendancy supposed to be this challenging? Do builds normally go without the final 2 ascendancy points?
I take so much damage from the traps, and evading or rushing through them is near impossible. Blink skills teleport me backwards and phasing doesn't last long enough. Even leap slam is so awkward to use. I always expect to leap slam in the direction my character's facing - but in narrow pathways filled with traps, the left thumbstick does nothing to the character orientation. If I keep pushing the thumbstick straight left/right - but the passage is aligned diagonally - the character sprints normally, but leap slam follows the thumbstick, making her jump up and down in one place. Plus, my defense might be awful, but should Izaro be dealing so much damage? The last labyrinth was much easier. I think the current build can be viewed on my profile. It's a mess. Any helpful info is welcome. Last bumped on May 18, 2020, 5:58:13 PM

Just saw your build, I'm assuming you're referring to your lv 85 Necro. So here goes, and please don't be offended-:
1. While PoE gives you a LOT of freedom in how you build your character, if you build a minion-focused spell caster into a melee Cycloner, you're going to face issues 2. Unique items can do a lot for your build, even be the lynchpin of the build, but for all that power they're usually lacking in life and resists. And your whole character is lacking in life and resists. You can't kill anything if you keep dying 3. Most importantly: Your skill tree, equipment, and skill gems need to have strong synergy with each other, enabling and strengthening each other. Right now, your equipment is of a melee warrior, your skill tree belongs to a minion summoning witch, and half your gems are melee while the other half are summoning. It's all over the place, and I can understand that since you're clearly new to the game. I would strongly advise you to search for guides here on the forums for the type of character you'd like. Focus on "League starter" guides, as they're usually more detailed and aren't based around obscure items or mechanics. Creating your own build from scratch is something you should attempt ONLY when you're extremely familiar with the game's mechanics, else you're going to run into brick walls as the content gets harder and get pissed off. P.S. as to your question- firstly, Merc Lab is the 2nd last Lab, there's another one after it :) Secondly, no Izaro is not that hard most of the time, depending on his mechanics for the day. Go check out poelab.com for daily Lab layouts, Izaro buffs, and general explanations for everything related to the Lab |

Hi, thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it. I did start by following a build named "King of all Summoners", but once I got to like level 80 I didn't have the equipment the build required. I did have a good Kondo's Pride, so I refunded a few skill points for Spiritual Aid, Blademaster and Razor's Edge. I think I should build another character that's best suited for melee cyclone.
I checked out poelab.com and that's incredibly useful - thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I think with labyrinth runs, the smart way is to match (as closely as possible) one of those proposed builds - regardless of your character/wip-build - and run it just for the ascendancy. Stash access before Izaro allows for a build change to better focus that scenario. And can you go back to the stash right after the fight without going ahead? To revert the build for traps traversing ...etc. The Izaro fight doesn't restart right? Didn't even know there was one other final labyrinth, but no ascendancy points I assume. Hey thanks for the reply and I'll be following poelab. |

No, no, no. The purpose of the Ascendancy mechanic is to strengthen your build. Ascendancy skill nodes are a lot stronger than normal skill nodes.
If you keep changing your build before and after the fight, you waste precious currency (Regret Orbs) for absolutely no reason. You're FAR better off following the guide and buying the equipment you require through the in game trade function. Understand that pretty much any half-assed build can kill Izaro in the normal, cruel and merc labs, he's not that hard. And with the right equipment and a decent life pool + knowledge of fight mechanics, most builds can kill Uber Izaro as well (yes he too gives Ascendancy skill points, there's total 8 in the game). Basically, the usual way to play the game is this: 1. Pick a build 2. Level through Acts 1-10 using the right kind of gems, equipment and skill nodes that synergize and make your character stronger 3. On the way, pick up all skill points and Labyrinth skill points 4. Start mapping (known as end game period). HERE there is a possibility of maybe some re-specs if your build calls for it. Examples are levelling with Resolute Technique keystone and shifting to Crit later, or levelling as life + energy shield and picking up Chaos Innoculation latwr. These are very specific builds and I would highly suggest you follow a league starter guide from end to end to make your life easier and to teach you more about the how's and why's of things. 5. Push your build to the limit. Get best-in-slot gems, full quality and level, get tier 1 mod rolls, key uniques, powerful jewels, a Watcher's Eye maybe. Get everything to push the build to the limit and take on the baddest of bosses in the end game (Shaper, Elder, Uber Elder, Uber Atziri, Sirus) Hope this makes it clearer. |

I didn't mean changing the skill tree before each Izaro encounter, just a few skill gems like adding Decoy Totem, Temporal Chains etc instead of the speed-run setup for the traps. Maybe change a few gear and alter a CWDT setup. And maybe use Deathmark Support coz my zombies hover around even when there's an enemy 3 feet away...
So 4 more ascendancy points. Yes the rushing in and melee strategy fails, gotta know the fight mechanics, where poelab helps. Well the PS4 market listings are quite expensive and I don't have the exalted orbs to spare. Maybe in time, but not right now. Started on a new Duelist character, following a build with almost no gear restrictions. This time it'll work out I hope. |

" I instantly noticed a few things that will make your life so much better. Decide what you want to be. Are you melee or are you a summoner? Right now you have melee gear with a few summoner gems stuck in them. Also, wtf is that detonate mines all about? You trying to be a miner too? Skill tree doesn't move on my phone but from what I can see, you haven't taken any minion nodes (maybe off screen but you've missed a load). I can't see down to the melee part of the tree so I'm assuming you took those instead? If you aren't using bone armour/barrier from necro ascendancy you should put in a cast when damage taken steelskin setup. Vms if you have high armour or immortal call if you have endurance charges. And this, this might be the biggest problem with your build (correct me if I have missed it somewhere)....... You have no freeze immunity. |

You could also try getting a gorgon's gaze mask, it's unique skill can petrify izaro

Probably dont have to do that much to get thru uber lab. Unique marble amulet forgot name, move spd boots/flask and 2 health flasks/stone golem. I think around 5k health so you don't get 1 shot and pantheon has reduced phys dot. Just need practice for nerve memory spam merc lab for the boot enchant. Majority of the time exit is top right and go left w golden door.

hi! i am somehow fresh player ;) i started little before Delirium on Xbox has been implemented. Firstly i played as a Archer but i was frustrated that i die a lot. so i tried to make a necromancer. I used the SAME build but i chose tanky One and ofc i do something that was in my mind. And its hilarious.
First of all You need is to survive. You shouldn't take many actions in combat, especially melee. You should to be ranged. I use "summon Ragin Spirit" with infernal legion support. for bosses like izario. I summon many skeletons as i could, summon few spirits and RUUUUUN! and then summon few spirits, uses one or two offerings and again rrrruuuun. thats is my succes. p.s. my necro has 3 maybe 4 weeks? check my build and my EQ - for most i didnt spend many orbs maybe totally 2 exa? to check them click my forum nick, go to "characters" bar and find my 86 necromancer.
