Extremely high DPS for ranger Tornado shot build HELP!

First of all how are these builds getting 1MIL DPS?!? When I look at mine it reads 10k in town and when I'm out doing quests it'll reach to about 15k with my Auras activated and stuff. Is there something I'm missing?? I'd be happy if it reached to 100k to be honest! FYI, super noob and maybe I'm not following the Tornado shot build I found online correctly or it's missing a BIG piece of info.... Any experienced PoE console players please advise! I'd like to get my DPS as high as possible. Thank you!

Hello.
Normally when build guides talk about having millions of DPS, those are usually the most optimized, min-maxed numbers at lv 90+ with extremely expensive gear (tier 1 jewels, tier 1 rolled mods on weapons, tier 1 rares, etc.)
I cannot see your gear, but you need to check the following-:
1. Is your main damage skill 6-linked? Having 5 support gems vs 4 support gems is a massive damage increase, at least 1.25x if not more
2. Do you have your key items in place? Many builds rely on the mechanics of specific uniques and/or other items
3. Do you have your key Notables from the Passive tree?
4. Since you're playing a TS bow build, your Bow DPS needs to be as high as possible
5. Do you have Jewels that boost your attack damage / speed?
6. Finally, tooltip DPS is inaccurate for several skills as it does not accurately take into account the variety of effects that can affect damage. E.g. my Toxic Rain Trickster has a tooltip DPS of ~500 (lmao) while I routinely farm T15 maps. Similarly, your Tornado Shot tooltip won't account for multiple arrows hitting your target, curses, etc. I would suggest you install this extremely useful tool called Path of Building and simulate your character on it to get an accurate picture of your damage.

There's a lot to consider when it comes to damage and survivability and it can be daunting for a new player. Plus you're only lv 73 right now, so you're missing at least 15-20 skill points that will boost your damage as you level up.

Good luck! And hang in there, a Tornado Shot build is extremely powerful if you're able to gear it right. My first ever character that I played on PoE PC years ago was a TS/Barrage Raider :)
Thanks!!! I appreciate the write up and I'll continue the build.
