Animate Guardian/Weapon not affected by Purity of Elements?

Hi,

I am currently trying to buff my build which is a Scion Animated Guardian/Weapon using Chains of Command.

I thought that the Animated Guardian/Weapons are considered allies, so using the aura of Purity of Elements should also affect them right?

Is this a bug or did I missed something from the description?
