Nth question about linking console and PC PoE accounts

I just downloaded PoE for PS4 out of curiosity, and the game literally asked:

"There is no Path of Exile account associated to your Sony Entertainment Network account. Do you want to create one?"

That means I CAN associate an existing one?

No, you create a new account to associate with your PSN. You cannot use your PC or Xbox PoE account on PSN.
