Banners and MTX

Can selecting a banner please remove the actual Banner effect on our character while carrying it? Only while carrying it. It'd still be useful to see it while placed, as usual, but with aura effect MTX and having cool effects, I feel like selecting an MTX for Banner skills should not make the banner be on the player.
