Is it normal for Drox to never drop shield?

Just curious if this is supposed to happen, where Drox keeps his shield up for the rest of the encounter.
5th Drox fight, the first four fights were normal, or so I thought. The fight takes so long the adds stop spawning. Fortunately, I was able to face tank him, or else it would have been unbeatable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-chE61m_0vw Last bumped on Feb 26, 2020, 1:54:35 PM

" I believe this is dependent on the awakening level of the encounter. At around 4 or 5 I think he changes to having the shield for the entirety of stage 3. I’m not positive though.
