Need help with char for new league in console

Hi all. I'm stuck on what to start for new league. I'm looking for a character that has high sustain and doesn't use skills that are tricky with a controller (leap slam for instance). The two most successful characters I've played are storm brand and freezing pulse totem heiros but I'd like to try a different play style. I don't need gg clear speed but I'd like to be able to do end game bosses and not feel like I insta die to all sorts of random stuff. Thanks in advance for any ideas!

If you are looking for something casual then check out Wrecker_of_Days builds.

All of these builds can get you to the end game.

I have played 3 of his builds this league. 2 of which I have got to maps.
1 of which is now my current highest charterer at level 92.

Slo-Mo Zombies is a great build, this is my level 92, (but hold off on this until the new patch notes come out, GGG might nerf minions again)

Enduring Fire is a good build I have this in Standard

Cursing C.I I played this to around level 30 it seems fine, but I never really gave it it's fair share to tell you the truth.

Trigger Happy I have not played.

The other build I played and loved is not on this as he is taking it off his list of builds. He did not have the time keep all the builds updated.

It is this one here https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2688487
Ranger Dodging Cyclone. Lots of fun to play, very fast. I think this would be my go to to start next league.

All his builds are very simple, do not rely on any unique's. So great to going for Regular and SSF.

The builds allow you to learn and adapt and change it around yourself to suit your own play styles.

All the forums the folks are friendly and helpful. He always comes in and reads the comments and gives advise.

You can add me on Xbox GT: x Peleus x as well and I can always help out.

How well do these builds stack up to the current state of Desync issues currently effecting everyone? I’d love to find an alternative fast clear speed end game build that doesn’t rubberband me because something can’t keep up, get me killed because of it or feel sluggish.

The thing is the game will always have major issues. Even PC has issues, so do not think it is just console.

I experience more slow down from the console then the game itself, I am using Xbox One and it is old, I do use and external SSD but I still have issue's.
I know it is the console as I got lag from other games last night loading in assets. I really hope that the new systems will be a lot better from us on this game.

I have only desync'd a few times this league and it was due to the extra mobs on the screen, it was Baran, Al-Hexmin and Veritania spawning in.

The cyclone build is good, as my evasion is over 11k and it pretty much dodges everything. If you are cyclone you can we have a bit of life leech to survive during the slow downs. This build moves fast, my MS is 50% on that build before all the MS add to me from frenzy charges I have.

Zombies is the same you have enough minions around to hopefully soak up the hits.

My only skill move that I like is flame dash. Once I find that the games starts to lag due to mobs I move in the opposite direction right away, I do not go further in.

These builds are slower then normal builds, meaning they are not designed to clear a map fast, no maps clear under 2mins. You can change the skills around and tree as well to suit your needs.

This is why I like Wreckers builds as they are very versatile and allow you to change stuff around. Great for beginners to learn the mechanics of the spells. Great for veterans as it gives them a easy blueprint to work from.

Next league we can see improvements with the games optimization on the Conquerors and mobs. The next league mechanics seem minimal so lets hope it is true.

I hope this answers some of your concerns. The new league does not come out until March 18th so you can try some of the builds now and see how they feel to you. Just take them through to Act 10 and see if you like it or not.

Best leaguestarters are minion and totem builds. They melt content even on a 4L. And no specific items required.

Ed + Contagion is also a great 4 link starter even for SSF. can get you to red maps without issue.

i love mines as a starter build pyroclast mines with the new astral projector ring is an amazing starter that you can scale into endgame to kill bosses in like 4 seconds. as for tanky-ness you can go Kaoms heart with a 5 link tremor rod for an easy psuedo 6 link early league
