[3.9] Durimon' Astral Projector Cold Shockwave Totem Scion, Easy and Safe Endgame, Melting Bosses

!SAFEST GAME PLAYING AND INSANE DPS!

I made this build being very happy with finding one of the safest and easiest playing ways. But, later after I uploaded youtube vid guide, I also found out that some brilliant person on youtube thought exactly the same way as me and uploaded almost same build several days earlier than me.

For budget, his and mine is different in that mine costs 17 ex total and his is over 50 ex. After contacting him, I decided to upload both of pob links here. It would be good to refer to both, one for lower budget (mine) the other for fully upgraded ver.

This build is not so easy to equip since weapon and shield are rare in trade.

BUT, once you are geared properly, I bet this build will make 3.9 league way more comfortable doing mapping and melting bosses including Sirus.

Astral Projector ring enables spell nova skill to be 'attached' to nearby enemies. So, you no longer have to lay totems exactly below enemies or inside nova range. Instead, once you lay totems anywhere, they will attack all enemies within their "totem attack range," which is very wide and even include off screen. This makes mapping and bossing very safe because all you need to do is just lay totems even below your char and concentrate on dodging only.

Unfortunately, I do not have my scion char geared up with this build. After I uploaded this build guide on youtube, people complained that they cannot get weapons and shield, and it's too expensive to do the build. So, I worked on Astral Projector Dark Pact Totem Scion Build (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2742843 ) which costs less than 3 ex. Because of that, I cannot provide gear links here. Pro

1. Safe and Easy Playing, you can lvl 100 easily.
2. Insane DPS
3. All contents Easy (since dmg is converted to cold, you can also farm delve)

Con

1. No regen map, ele reflect --> no!
2. when over-confident and unlucky, you get one-shotted by crazy mons with crazy map mods.

How good is this build vs you new 3ex totem build? Advantage or disadvantage except price? I can afford both but want to decide which is better.

Why did you go scion over hiero? Hiero seems to give much better asc. bonuses, starting with free multiple totems.

Build is looking great, but I am also considering rolling it on a hiero, more ES and better totem placement as QOL.

have played this a lot, really enjoy it my gear has room for upgrades but at this point i consider her done. I have cleared everything with this as well. Well done to OP and the other feller for putting this concept together.

1. no worries about popculines and other corpse related things due to 100% cold dmg conversion --> this means u can farm pretty deep delve when you max chaos resist.

2. more dps without summoning many totems in advance

1. stun immune from occulist --> which is huge advantage in 3.9

2. 2 curses to boost dps

3. more and easy to pull hp


Hiero is also fine and easier to pull more dps but you need to cover stun immunity from items for safe mapping

Yup, many of viewers already have gone for hiero for this build. But you gotta make sure you do something about being stun for safe mapping.

What nodes do you allocate with the thread of hope? POB doesnt show it and in your vid you hover over the jewel and speak chinese :)
