CREMATION ARMAGEDDON NECROMANCER
Hello guys,

I played the CREMATION ARMAGEDDON NECROMANCER last league and it was probably my strongest character in Metamorph. The build offers everything you need for Delirium. The build has very nice clear speed, is pretty tanky with many defensive layers and has very strong single target dps. The build is also very mobile with cyclone and the cremation gyser and the armageddon brand does constant dps.

CREMATION

I want to start with the main skill of this build - Cremation which is a very underestimated spells in my opinion. Cremation creates a vulcanic geyser out of a corpse.

Cremation explodes the corpse and dealing 3% of the corpse Maximum life as fire damage in a small area. The second part Cremation creates small fire orb projectiles which sequentially released over the surrounding area for a base duration of 8 seconds.

Normally Cremation releases 42 projectiles over the 8 seconds. Additional projectiles increase the total amount of projectiles - greater multiple projectiles increases the amount of projectiles to 84 over 8 second which makes it to the most powerful support gem for this build.

Increased Area of effect scales both the are the travel from the geyser and also the projectiles area which the projectiles cover. Cremation is not affected by cast speed, pierce or chain.

The need of a corpse is one of the biggest downside of cremation. Normally cremation is always used with one of the two corpse creating skills Desecrate or Unearth.


GEAR
My gear with level 91:


Gear in Detail
Weapon:
I decided to go with staffs as weapon because it is a great option to get massive amounts of damage and defensive with the powerful block mechanic. I decided to with the unique Martyr of Innocence because of the great synergies with fire skills and also because this weapon increases the block chance by about 33%. Martyr of Innocence gives a high amount of flat fire damage to spells and attacks and has some other unique features like it gives us a level 15 vengeance skill.

A very strong alternative is sire of shards which increases the projectile amount by four which is just super strong for this build and it also increases the projectile damage by a lot. An other option would be a rare staff which increases the gem level of Cremation and other skills as much as possible.

Circle of Anguish
The circle of Anguish ring is the second unique item I use for this build. I used a version which increased the buff effect and reduced the mana reservation of Herald of Ash. Together with some other reduced mana reservation from the skill tree that allows us to run Herald of Purity or some other aura.

Other Ring:
On the other ring my main goal was to get elemental weakness on hit. Additionally I would look for life and resistances on this slot. If you can get a Diamond ring qith decent stats that would increase your dps quiet a bit.

Helmet
The most important thing on the Helmet is to get the entchantment which let you have an additional Vulcanic geyser at the same time which increases the total amount from 3 to 4 what is massive for our single target dps. Otherwise you want on all items high life and resistances. On the Helmet you can also get +3 to all socketed minion gems which is very nice because you push your Herald of Purity and Stone Golem by a few levels which will increase your survivability and dps.

Amulett
On the amulett I would go for the mode fire damage is leeched as life because this increases your survivability a lot!!! Otherwise go for global critical strike multiplier, life and resistances.

Boots
On boots you want a least 30% movement speed, high life and resistances.

Gloves
On gloves I just did go for high life and resistances. Additionally you could look for spell damage, projectile damage or blind which can be found on shaper/elder based gloves.

Belt
On the belt slot I normally always go with stygian vise when there is not a special good unique belt for my build or for energy shield based builds a cRystal belt is also a good option. Like on all rares get high life and resistances.


ENTCHANTMENTS
Entchantments

Entchantments:
> Helmet: One additional geyser is a the best entchantment for this build because it will the damage of Cremation by 1/4.
> Boots: life regeneration when we get hit or life leech when we killed an enemy.
> Gloves: does not really matter.


FLASKS
Flask

> Life Flask with anti bleeding is a must-have if you don’t have another way to deal with bleeding.
> A diamond flask is just too good for any crit build not to use. I use one which makes us immune to chill and freeze effects.
> a Quicksilver flask with increased movement speed increases clear speed a lot and I would not wanna miss it.
> Atziri‘s Promise is a powerful unique flask which increases dps and survivability with leeching life from our enemies.
> Rumi‘s Concoction is probably the modt powerful defensive flask at least for block builds. The Flask helps a lot to more or less always have may block in dangerous situations and additionally increases our amour amount by a lot which increases the damage prevented by Vaal Molten Shell.

Alternative options are a granite flask for defense or a dying sun which increases our defense against fire damage and increases our damage by increasing the projectile amount by too and the clear speed by increased area of effect.


JEWELS
Jewels
On jewels I would look for following stats:
> global critical multiplier
> critical strike multiplier with elemental skills
> increased life
> spell damage / projectile damage / fire damage
> chance to get onslaught on kill
> missing attributes / resistances


ASCENDANCY
Ascendancy
We pick the Ascendancy Necromancer mainly because of the synergies with corpse skill and also of course because it is just very powerful and well balaneced at the moment.


Ascendancy order:
1) Plaguebringer
I did go with Plaguebringer first which gives us more area of effect when we consumed are corpse recently and more damage and reduced damage taken when there is a corpse nearby.
2) Corpse Pact
After that I would go with Corpse pact which is probably the most poweful ascendancy node for this build. Corpse Pact gives 30% increased damage when we consumed a corpse recently and 2% cast and attack speed for each corpse which has been consumed recently. Really powerful is that all enemies near corpse we spawned recently are chilled and shocked what is just crazy strong. Corpse Pact not also increases the life of corpses by 50% which increases the damage of cremations corpse damage explosion.
3) Mistress of Sacrifice
Mistress of Sacrifice makes that offering also affect us and we use Bone Offering to max our block chance which is one of our main defenses.
4) Commander of Darkness
For the last ascendancy I decided to go with Commander of Darkness for a bit more dps. It also help to cap your resistances if you have problems with it.


SKILL TREE
Skill Tree
Skill Tree level 92
On the skill tree we start in witch area and picking up some life and spell nodes. Then we travel to templar area for some more life, spell and other stuff. We also take the big minion cluster in the templar area which let minion damage also apply to us - so all the minion damage from Necromancer, Skill Tree, Gear and Jewels will also increase our damage.

As soon as we start to us a staff as weapon we want to pick up all the stavenodes on the skill tree which will increase our dps and our defense with blocking massively. The Avatar of Fire Keynote will only benefit Unearth and convert some of the physical damage to fire.

After that I would travel in the Maurauder starting area and to the middle of the skill tree to pick the massive life cluster. Please be aware this skill tree progression should be adapted to your needs... if you feel squishy just pick up life nodes... if you need more damage just get some damage nodes.

Pantheon:
> Soul of Lunaris
> Soul of Skakari

Bandits:
Kill them all for two extra passive points.

Awesome looking build - I can't wait to try it! Cremation is creeping up as one of the top skills this league. I've played both Necro and Chieftain self-cast versions. I look forward to seeing how this compares!

A few quick questions:

1) Any idea on the DPS we can achieve with this build?
2) Could you refine the order do we pursue skill allocation while leveling?

Just purchased my staff, so ready to rock with the build :)

I think with the cwc swtup something between 1-2m shaper dps but I have not really min / maxed it yet. And I got a free 6link for single target which I think sbout. Atm ibused it for a spell totem volatile dead setup but maybe there sre better options for single target.

Update:
I changed the second 5/6 link setup from a totem setup to a Armageddon brand setup which works great for clear support and can deal up to 1,5m additional shaper dps. On the passive skill tree I toke the brand keynote in the templar area.

Nice build

I think I would prefer Sire of shards over Martyr of Innocence and Assassin's mark over Elemental Weakness. What do you think boss damage wise. Map clear shouldn't be a problem either way. Great build idea!

I dont think that Sire of Shards is the better option for this build. Accoring to PoB I would los half my average damage per hit. I know that the more projectiles would equalize it more or less but I would lose other stuff like the higher block chance. Also I use armageddon brand as second skill which highly profits from the Martyr of Innocence and Sire of Shards would not do anything for it.

Assassin's Mark could be really a better option for this build. The damage gain is more or less the same but we also have the chance to get power charges and additionally some life / mana on kill.

I'm loving this build so far. However, I just ran an elemental reflect map, and got my A** whooped. Any ideas on mitigating that kind of damage to yourself?
