SSF Hopeshredder raider barrage setup question

Hello, Found hopeshredder and i swap raider ice shot/barrage. map clean is awesome atm... there is no question for that. but when i facing single target map boss/guardians etc. my barrage dmg seems clunky.

my barrage setup: Barrage+edwa+insprtn+ice bite(higher dmg thn added cold with full frenzy)+cold pen + hypo. my question is some ppl using ele focus instead of hypo cuz of lower chance freeze agains bosses i guess... is it true or should i stick with hypo? i havent any + projectile gear piece too... maybe gmp instead of hypo right?
