new filter stuff

so where are we supposed to go to edit the loot filters and whatnot for console?

This all new for me, but here is what I am guessing at

the Announcement:

(look for "In Conquerors of the Atlas you can now add Item Filters to your account through the Path of Exile website!")

So I expect this will not be active until 3.9 launches. Since it is across all Platforms, that might mean as of the PC Launch, but who knows.

The picture in the announcement indicates that you go in through

My Account >> Item Filters >> Create Filters

The picture shows a selection box for Platform. Hopefully we can enter the data through our Console Accounts (rather than require a PC Account) and any details on how to do that will be provided (but if it becomes active with the PC Launch, it would be nice to get that info with the PC Launch rather than wait for the Console Launch).

The Announcement further suggests that Players new to the experience check out the Community Wiki Item Filter Guide, which I assume is this

Other than waiting and experimenting, if you know someone who does this stuff on PC, they might have some tips for you.

One thing that I am wondering about is if we will be able to start with and modify the Neversink Filters. That would probably save a lot of time for me, but I can also understand if Neversink considered them protected IP.

They did tell Neversink there will be an API available and you can create a public list to have others subscribe to. My understanding is that we can build the filter on https://www.filterblade.xyz/ and import it into our account on here. Have not gotten a response from GGG confirming or denying any of this yet, nor if it would be released for us this Friday or Monday.

I was hoping this feature would be available before the league start for us on Monday, but I understand they may have more pressing issues at the time.

I just created one on the fitlerblade site - https://www.filterblade.xyz/?profile=Corrison&saveState=Xbox%20Base&platform=xbox. It had me log into my PoE account here and allow permissions. After saving it shows my profile name and platform (Xbox). I do not see any changes on this site however. Unsure when these go live, but it appears we can begin work on them now.

Good info. I customized a filter and saved it, but doesn't look like it applied to anything in game.

Filter stuff is up!

It does not automatically import from filterblade. Each filter I had made on there had to be downloaded individually. Here was the process I used to set them up on a computer:

1. Build filter you want on https://www.filterblade.xyz/.

2. Save & load tab, save it here. Name whatever you want.

3. Download tab. There is a download button in the first line, you don't need to type anything here.

4. Navigate to where you downloaded. Rename the file to .txt so we can open it.

5. Copy all text in here (you can remove stuff like special thanks and made by if you want).

6. Navigate to https://www.pathofexile.com/my-account and click item filters on the right.

7. Create new item filter. Name whatever you want. Make public if wanted. Make sure you choose the right platform!

8. Paste all that text into the bottom area. You can put descriptions if you want, I put the filter differences here.

9. Submit. You can make more filters the same way. I have made 4 so far.


I have set all of mine to public for those that are interested. I do not see how to share them yet since they don't show up on https://www.pathofexile.com/item-filter/ladder/follower?platform=xbox like the PC ones do. I also have not tried to load them on my Xbox yet since I'm at work. Hopefully this will help others.

Thanks for the info - I created one filter but I did not see it on the Xbox when I looked. It seems a reasonable guess that the PC part got implemented with the PC changes and the Console link will come with the Console changes. But if nothing shows up after League Start on Console then I will wonder if I missed something or GGG missed something.

Edit: I did this using my Console Account as opposed to using my PC Account.

Got a reply from Natalia on Reddit, these won't go live for us until 3.9 hits console. I assume the only one being shown on the console filter ladder are employee's testing it.

Edit: It might be something simple like using your PC Account or you need at least one follower to get on the Public list.
