RE left trigger changes

If left trigger is being used for the extra skill bar, where is the current functionality being moved to. I use the left trigger to not move during during skills so often. This will make some skills almost unusable. Can we at least have a choice to enable the extra skill bar, which I don't need or care about, or keep the current functionality? I really want it to stay the way it is.
