Why set a B/O price then reject it...?

I'm trying to buy several Timeless Emblems right now. Found several on the market that are cheap (7-10c), I placed an offer on 2-3 of red and whites each and all of them were rejected. Why would anyone bother setting an asking price, then reject that price when its met? Is there something I'm missing or are these people just trolling the market?

This is in part why I wish the market system was more automated; you set a price and when its met, the sale is completed automatically without the need of the seller authorizing it. You wouldn't have to wait hours for someone thats online to accept your offer.

I don't understand it either. I saw in another thread a person talking about the same thing. I chalked it up to people needing stash space, or something else I didn't understand.

But after numerous instances of purchase denials it seems people are doing what you say, they are trolling, or worse they are working on market price influencing. Not sure what all goes into something like that, but I think it takes a fair deal of effort. A few times I would get every bid placed denied all at the same time, even when giving the asking price. That was mind boggling.

I don't know how else they could possibly fix something like this without going to the system you describe. Buy out means buy out. The functionality is already there, it just needs to me enabled.

Best Regards,

JHJ

Checking the market values. Lets say you found The Baron as item and offer it for 5c: If the seller gets 10 offers in a short time, he will decline each offer and set the price for 10c. Is he still getting a lot of offers in a short period of time, then he is declining them all again and ask for a much higher price.

I've had also people who asked for 2c. I offered them 2c and they wrote "I need some coins". If you replace the 2c with coins, they are getting angry.

I dont like the way GGG handles the Trade Market. There should be the option for auto-buy, even when the seller is offline. This would be a good option to fight against the high prices and the poor population on consoles. But for some reason, GGG dont like this idea.
Because they're price fixing.

They set their price for 10c even though the item is worth 20c. Anyone looking through the market to try and value their item will see a bunch for 10c and sell theirs for 10c.

Guess who buys the 10c item? That's right the price fixers who then sell it for 20.

All GGG need to do is make it auto accept when you offer the exact asking price. However this won't happen because "player interaction".
I agree, Sooo how do we request a feature? I am new i have the idea that this game development can be influenced by the community (like polls in runescape) So how do we request a change or new feature to GGG?

You don't. A GGG mod hasn't posted on the console forums since June. They are simply not interested in feedback from console players. Happy to take our money but not willing to listen to issues with gameplay or stability.

Where did you get this from? Jeff posts frequently, and there's a few more that post occasionally.

He's right they aren't interested in fixing anything unless the store is broken.
its called price-fixing.. or if you want you can call it scamm.. - to push the actual price down from it.

These are all the staff replies to threads that have nothing to do with the store just off the first page of the bug reports.
