Price fixers with dozens of fake postings are a real problem - solution
Okay, I enjoy this game but i’m so sick of price fixing. For Markareth emblems and shards i’ve made dozens of bids, at asking price, no bartering, and every few hours I see them all get turned down at once one after the other.
It’s one guy, and we’ve all run into this a few times now. He must have thirty different fake posts (probably about half the bids in the list for emblems) that he turns down every single time just to make other players undervalue their shards and emblems, going from 10 shards for 6 chaos to 10 shards for 12, or 62 to 85 for an emblem. Nothing for hours then all 9 bids are immediately rejected. All in all i’ve probably bid on 25 different options, some far higher than I wanted to, and it’s all denied at asking price. How about if you match or beat an asking price the sale is immediate? No more price fixing, no more posting 50 things at under value to try and manipulate players into thinking their stuff is worth less than yours so you can buy it and mark it up... how about a market that opposes price fixing? If we set a price, we should abide by it if someone meets it. And yes we all screw up, we choose alteration instead of chaos once or twice, and I’d be bummed if I made an error and someone bought, but lately there are a lot of trades being refused at the price they set. Real life markets are built to prevent this kind of dishonest BS, and I’d love it if POE could do the same. I should note I’m on ps4, using the in game trade menu. I agree that if you give someone what they ask it should instantly go through. It would help cut down on price fixers and currency sellers.

Yeah I agree. I just got 9 offers turned down at once. All at asking. All I want is 20 shards... this should not be this stupidly hard.
He must have an entire public page of small 6 and 10 and 20 sets trying to force other folks to sell at a discount. How stupid is that? Every time I pick a new one it says I submitted an offer to that account too recently. Once an asking price has been met it should be auto. The game would be so much better and so much more honest. | |
The issue is that GGG doesn’t care about making our lives easier or implementing QOL features.

There will be less pricefixers if there were less people asking absurd prices for their currencies and shards

To fix this you need BIN to set on trade board.
If you post something at 1 ex and they put 1ex in there its automatic even if they are OFFLINE. Fixed. |
