Will console ever get in game chat?

No clue if any plans to ever include a in game chat for console? To help players communicate and interact with other players while actually playing the game and not using a app or some website. And like always one big downside to having a in game chat would be having it moderated and organized, but that’s easier said then done since seeing another game on console with in game chat that I’ve personally played is warframe and the in game chat is nice and convenient for Being a console game but still could use some improvements. Some positives for in game chat might be asking others for help, LFG, trading, and etc. A big negative to in game chat might be someone spamming a chat or being rude or offensive to another player but moderating the chats might help some with that. The biggest thing that I see as a negative for ggg is if there was in game chat some people may just use chat to talk to others or even just use trade chat to buy and sell things. Since having a chat would help those that don’t have the money to get stash tab to use for trading which might mean less mtx for ggg but more convenient for those that don’t have stash tab and would like to use actual in game means to trade instead of using a website to do so and who knows then maybe while I’m playing the game on ps4 and trying to buy/sell things I could continue playing the game while doing so.

We really want to get this deployed. We have something that is 80% implemented, but it's still a few weeks of development away. The developer who was working it unfortunately left our company recently to start his own project, so console chat is in limbo until we free someone up to take over.
