Did they do away with the "witches"?

The last version I played got rid of the Necromancer totems (sad face) and added these "witches" that were immortal, teleported on top of you and did a huge amount of damage, and made the most annoying schreeching sound just for good measure.

I have not touched it since then.

It was a shame... it used to be pretty fun in the earlier versions.

I played a ton of Diablo 2 + PoD, but Median XL looks like such a clusterfuck to me, it looks ridiculous. Didnt try it though, just saying it looks like nothing I would want to try, anyone else think this way?
