I am having the same issue with the projectiles in Vaal Lightning Strike as I am having with normal Lightning Strike. Neither ones projectiles the charge generation from Smashin Strike. I know technically it is for melee only but lightning strike is hardly used or usable and figuring the bolts come from a melee strike it would be nice to have. Orb of Storms is a decent fall back for charges but Staff + Melee is too specific to not have the lightning strike bolts count for charges, since they are produced via melee.
