EA close range explosion?

So I saw a guy's EA explode in a relatively close range in sarn arena.

I also watched a video on a guy using this technique(?) to kill Hydra.

Can anyone teach me how to do it?


edit: oh, also the arrows weren't hitting anyone, and they were detonating in the mid air

Are you sure it was EA and not Fireball or something

poe arena surface isn't flat, same for maps or boss rooms. if you find such "hidden" high grounds(they don't seem like high grounds but they are) and target your feet(in short, don't target a long distant location) while attacking you can shotgun with EA or LA.

In sarn you usually do it by targeting different planes of the castle in the middle; and by using the same technique closer to the mote surrounding sarn (same applies to KB)

Also, Mirage archer will always overlap vs closer monsters due to its position above the target; this works a lot better with LA, as EA tends to overshoot the mark

This technique can be used not only in the sarn arena, but also in the maps.
