Builds that can deal vs offscreeners?
I tried making an offscreen PvP build involving LA but... it's not my play-style, I feel ashamed of myself fighting players at big distances and then running like a p*ssy if they come close to me. If I PvP someone I prefer to fight him like a man, staying close to them instead of running away or camping behind walls.
So I would like to know if there's a build that can perform well in PvP by playing aggressive and effectively coming close to the rivals, dealing with offscreeners, trap campers, etc. Budget of 10ex as maximum, but if the build really deserves the currency I could go higher. flameblasters are good and as "melee" as you can get right now.

Eww, flameblast... not a big fan of it.
I was thinking about leveling this build on next update https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1647240 but I like to chill by playing casual PvP and I doubt if that build is really effective on PvP. I like it because it's tanky and melee aggressive, but with only 5k HP I guess it could be easily countered, even with 78% block chance. Last edited by FranGT#1352 on May 8, 2017, 4:21:30 PM

Just make a lifebased pathfinder with max block/dodge and use almost any attack/spell with a broken t-value interaction. You should beat most offscreeners even with 10ex.
Winter enchant, herald of thunder and spells cast through cwc are particularly broken. A simple melee char with the defenses mentioned above should work fairly well too. |

" There is any guide of that kind of build? sounds interesting (and I have no idea about how to gear and passive skill it). Last edited by FranGT#1352 on May 8, 2017, 5:08:35 PM

lapiz exaggerates stuff as usual, don't follow the hype. things are not that easy ^^
what he says has a truth, but an exaggeration too. you might get disappointed big time. (considering you have 10ex budget) "You have great power. You're right to be proud. " ... nvm then lol. I think I will start off the new league leveling that budget tank build I mentioned before and then level apart a PvP character once I farmed enough currency. I better wait and see what's the new meta on this 3.0 patch. |

The way to truly get disappointed is by investing a whole league into a duelist and think you can actually do something in pvp with it
Instead of exaggerating I just explained what kind of a general archetype you should go for with a very small budget. This should be the base tree you always start with almost every single lifebased char: http://poeurl.com/bi3r That kind of a pathfinder will perform much better in pvp than any kind of measly duelist. |

In my opinion
With none pathfinder melee characters go ci/es regen+block and forget life . There is too much block pen on gear for those melee non pathfinders life blockers to handle. 1 scorched ray and your are dead either way. Not sure how MArkusz-shin zerphi+molten build work nowdays with the nerf but it might be your answer. Alright tnx for the answers.
As I said before I better wait for 3.0 update and see how much does the meta change. Then I will decide what kind of build I will level up. |
