PVP WORLD, here with my old mmorpg clan

Yeah, i recently discovered the pvp world with my friends, we are like 10-15 and we know each others in the REAL LIFE (not the exiled world u.u), we like the pvp in the arena and we also know that is unbalance as fuck, but we don't care, because there is a kind of "competition" between us, it's funny like that. We were usually playing in mmmorpgs like Lineage or moba like league of legends for the competition, but we are bored of these games. Me and some friends were playing POE since beta for the pve, doing some random pvp in the old times, with random shits like perma freeze with temporal chain and freezing pulse, or bear trapping untill death or some other random stuff.

I would like to tell you my thoughts about you people, yeah.. you indeed, the same people around the pvp forum, listen..

I remember the diablo 2 old times, pvping there was funny, because the net was not so common, so people weren't totally able to share their thoughts. Now, there are tons of builds even for pvp, this sucks, people should keep their knowledge and their experience for them selves. Wasn't funny in diablo 2 learning sometime from other players, making random pvps? seeing, for example, mechanics like "oh shit, that guy is using an absorb to my fire spell, this sounds lame and smart at the same time!!".

At the end of the day, i think that the pvp in path of exile will be always fine in the NEW LEAGUE, where people will just play randomly without tryharding, just mashing buttons.

There is not competition without a serious balance in the game, since moba(ofc, there are also other gender games for competition) are out and since they make tournaments, where you can actually earn money, the competition will MOSTLY be there.

I just take the POE pvp randomly, playing with my friends, without copypasta all the uber builds around in the internet, because isn't funny at all.
If you guys are gifted from the heaven and you can actually make broken builds, just keep these builds for your selves, don't spread your experience around in the forum to get a big ego and get compliments by "noobs", be happy about yourself and your knowledge, keep owning noobs in the arena, that's it. You people, i mean the same people that i always see in the forum, stop sharing builds and broken thoughts, you are killing the pvp in that way. Are you an experience person that played since years? keep your knowledge for yourself please, i rather prefer been owned by you in the random arena, without knowing nothing at all, i don't care, just don't share the broken mechanics in the forum, don't let noobs play these shits, thanks you senpai pvp players.

Don't grammar nazi me, my english sucks, thanks in advance senpais

Hello, but seriously, what do you think about it?

i'm referring to zerphi builds mostly btw :P broken builds that are deleting mechanics in the pvp
Pvp in new leagues won't be fine either if someone decided to make a real build there. Stuff like herald of lightning, EA and bear traps can be super cheap to make and have the performance of a fully mirrored attack build after investing 5ex in to them. Same goes for zerphi and pathfinder as defense mechanics.

I just feel like if these things aren't exposed the chance of them getting fixed is even worse than it is now.

The state of the current balance makes it so that there are few builds (seriously, there are like other 3 things) that can compete with the "real builds", even if your budget would be unlimited. It is very similar to the issue that pve has where a build is considered useless if it doesn't abuse double dipping. Luckily for pve there are many different ways to use the mechanic but in the end it is still just shit in a different bag.

Secondary damage is the double dipping of pvp. Maybe they will fix it in a few years. It took them a few years to fix the core problem of pve too so..

It is actually quite funny how up until very recently, the pve in poe has had an extremely horrible balance in the high end of things. No wonder they can't fix pvp if it takes them years to solve the major balance issues of pve. All of this has to do with the way they balance things in general. Something has to be overly abused by a huge number of people before it will receive any nerfs.

In both pve and pvp, what GGG really should do is look less at the statistics of skills/abilities used and instead form focus groups of experienced people that could fix the problems in advance. With their current way of doing things they start fixing shit when things have gone south for a long time already.

Thanks for your answer, btw.. i get your point. Let's hope something will change in 3.0, do you think that would be possible a kind of change in the pvp meta? (in the 3.0)

I doubt we will get anything but some T-value changes to blight and scorching ray.

This will change nothing in the grand scheme of things and the core problems will still be there for quite a while I assume.

Until these things get fixed there really wont be more than a few skills to use, which is quite sad
