[2.6] SignalShot™ CI Full Ele Conversion TS/Barrage / Shaper & Uber Deathless / with video!

Would/Could you reccomend doing this build as assassin with life?
Edit: or maybe scion with pathfinder, deadeye, or elementalist.

Some info for those still playing the build on standard.

So after 3.0 hit I immediately specced into CI again. I ended up with 8K ES and around 290K unbuffed hideout tooltip dps (up from around 270K in 2.6). The dps went up because I replaced the Slower Projectiles gem with a Damage on Full Life gem, and I took Alira bandit rewards. I specced into Ghost reaver (mandatory imo). I also took the -25% reflected damage on the Pantheon.

Mapping with the build is still as fast and pretty much risk free as it was before - reflect doesn't hurt all that much even with gigantic dps, and the sustain via Ghost Reaver is enough. Bosses still melt instantly.

However, there are some bosses that now cause some problems:

1) Atziri - I cannot believe that GGG kept the 1% reflect that Atziri had in 2.6. This is a massive issue, because Barrage does so much dps that Ghost Reaver leeching cannot keep up. I can still beat Atziri so long as I don't burst her down too rapidly. Instead, I send a volley her way, then wait for ES to recover before sending another volley etc.

In my opinion giving a boss reflect to punish builds from building up their dps without access to instant leech is incredibly stupid.

2) Chimera - because Chimera has unavoidable phases it forces more careful play. The rest of the Guardians and Shaper remain a joke however, and Shaper is the easiest of the lot because of no possibility of damgerous map mods.

But would a life-based Signalshot not be better in standard? Not sure - it's basically a trade-off between reducing the chances of being 1-shot and slightly safer gameplay due to instaleech (and being able to farm Atziri properly).

In league play I think CI is not a good idea when we don't have access to legacy ES gear. The ES is just way too low compared to what life you can reach on the build. You can certainly push the ES values higher, but at the expense of a lot of dps.

Just finished some testing after respec and running all content to get skill points back. I have 8100 ES. Not a mirrored bow yet that new gem will be a good slot for bow or armor over a few others due to the huge dps boost for those that do not have mirrored 6 links & the damage is pretty huge for barrrage. The no instant leech is noticeable yet the high ES pool and the pathfinder specs far outweigh the other options - even my inquisitor that has more damage and less life and had instant leech, etc.

I have 3 points to play with for more ES (probably not needed) or 40% more crit chance/accuracy or 9% Ias/accuracy which are probably my best options. There are a few new bosses on lower tiers that due to HP buffs can be a problem and play style without instant leech is noticeable yet IMO is not as huge a factor I thought it would be,

HP builds will be about = IMO with the instant leech and much more affordable vs needing godly gears for ES versions. I am sure both will work well and overall HP builds will be easier to spec around yet my guess is 5k - 5500 HP maybe 6k which still is in that 1 hit range. Either way the build is not dead. The shock/freeze issues do cause some issues vs how it was before yet it makes you play the game a little more defensively and understand the mechanics.

Also I did not run Atziri yet yet I see that point easily. For Chimera I always used TS due to the better mechanics vs everything going on around the player. I am also playing around with utility vaal gem ideas like grace and all yet that only lasts a few seconds.

I still like the build and ICE shot is not 1 hitting me. I do still feel the reflect yet its not as bad as it used to be on this build.

Great write up you had. Thumbs up.

Side note: A few boss areas are sorta OP now like the Overgrown Ruin Map trio lolz.

I'm getting ~5.5K with Belly atm

Did some Guardians etc, Barrage and friends still seem fine tbh
Fake Temp League Elitists LUL
So it's still able to get +3 projectile from dying sun with this
and Master Alchemist. The question is Is this worth to try?

im using taste of hate atm instead of dying sun, +2 projectiles and area of effect vs cold dmg+a bit more tanky vs phys dmg.

taste of hate feels weaker than 3projectile dying sun, even weaker if you use iceshot which benefits a lot from the area of effect.

if you have free flasks slots and use ice shot i'd use that jewel+dying sun, a 5ex jewel gives 10% more dps, but using dying sun let you drop gmp from the AoE 6l and use fork or another gem
Well I am a huge fan if Ice Shot yet with all the testing I have done over weekend, etc. I have fallen back to TS and uber IAS stacking which overall crushes everything with less stress from the loss of instant leech.

Also I am only sitting at 8100 ES in general and the Instant leech loss is noticeable yet it is not as much of a loss as I thought it would be for this build and that may be for one simple reason:

Damage on Full Life Support Gem for CI users, etc.

WOW this gem makes up for the loss of instant leech big time. Not only in Barrage but also if you can work it into your clearing skill attack. I substituted it for my TS setup with Pierce that took a good nerf stick and that gem is just godly yet was a nice addition for CI/ES builds that took the biggest nerfs to date.

I have really not had an issue where the loss of Instant leech ability has frustrated me overall. I am still playing with tree options yet High IAS with that gem has worked wonders on getting the build back to where it was before overall.

I'm trying it, got mixed feelings on it. Dinking with PoB trying to figure out if it is worth it myself.

For my build (standard min/max CI build) this jewel gives me around 7% more dps than a 4 damage affix jewel. From some rough estimates the jewel should be superior to a 4 damage affix jewel on any Signalshot build, assuming that you're OK with not having a 7% life affix or an 8% ES affix on one of your jewels.

Thanks, I appreciate your community feedback!
Regarding Conqueror's Potency: I do also want to point out that getting +1 arrow offers a much bigger dps increase when one doesn't have the +1 arrow quiver corruption or the +2 helm enchant. As with any damage scaling there are diminishing returns, so you'll see the biggest increase the lower the number of arrows you have.

In a similar vein, a jewel with a crit multi or attack speed affix will offer more than a damage affix (physical damage, physical damage with bows, projectile damage etc.) because the build typically has far fewer boosts to crit multi and attack speed than to damage. The recent nerf to crit multi on the tree has added to the importance of crit multi on jewels.

As an aside, I decided to make Frost Blades Berserker my league starter in Harbinger, because it in some respects is very similar to Signalshot (the ridiculously good clear, elemental conversion with tons of ele penetration). Now that I reached 12 challenges I'm debating whether to continue since the league doesn't offer much compared to standard (unless you enjoy picking up 0.2 chaos worth of scraps every 3 maps or so). Quite frankly I look forward to finding breaches, not harbingers, in maps :).
