Currency symbol appears as Euro sign

When I type the currency symbol, ¤ (U+00A4 CURRENCY SIGN), into the chat input, see it in chat itself, or use it in a stash tab name, it appears identical to the Euro sign, € (U+20AC EURO SIGN). However, if I copypaste it out of PoE into any other program, the currency symbol appears correctly, so it is only displayed the same.

I am running PoE on Wine, and located in Europe.

In this screenshot, both the rightmost stash tab’s name and the content of the chat input is “€¤”, a Euro sign followed by the currency symbol.
