What is going to happen to us?

Hi guys, I'm Snazzy. I love this game, especially the PVP portion of it. It reminds me of the old D2. Guys would join "PK1" and it was just like the Sarn Arena. Lately, I haven't seen a lot of the pvper's online. I read the threads and most of the people have lost interest and rightfully so. GGG doesn't seem to support PVP and certain mechanics (ahem, sorry my EA) can be abused. But still, I get waxed by the top PVP guys out there and still love it. I'm just ranting because I really don't want to find another game and want to help the PVP community in any way i can. This game has so much promise and it makes me sad. A lot of you have helped me out tremendously and I appreciate all you great PVP'ers have done for this game. Thank you!

P.S. I play drunk alot. So sorry if I offend anyone while I PVP. No excuses though. I'm totally at fault.

Nothing will happen to us, GGG has been ignoring us for more than a year and Chris gave us the middle finger in the podcast when he stated PvP was a waste of ressources.

So do as we do, spam your LA and pretend really hard that this game is still theorycraft/skill based anymore.

Inb4 an la/spark/trap/bv user says this game has never been skill-based.

Yes snazzy, it is very upsetting that ggg continues to ignore the obvious issues, but let's face the facts: They can't even keep their pve stuff in check, and that is their main focus. You got people 1-shotting uber with traps and hitting level 100 in under 100hrs which is completely fucked. I'm not a developer, but if I made a game I wouldn't want people to be able to 1shot the "hardest" boss in the game or achieve the highest level in under a week of play time. With Ascendancy, they have gotten way too big for their own britches and either don't care or don't know what to do next. Those are the only 2 possibilities there are.

Our options are either give up like all the other old guys have or just have as much fun as possible with good people while continuing to be as patient as possible. As a melee guy, all I can do is refuse to fight minion chaos clouds (piety/stefan) and blade vortex abusers (fall/fyndel) who only use those skills because they are horribly broken and fully admit that, yet they use them anyway. I'm not hating on anyone, I'm just stating facts. I enjoy playing with all of you guys.

As far as tourneys or events, as stated previously, it's completely up to us as the community to establish set rules, banned skills, etc etc... I wish I had more time to head this up or I would, and I know haunt would too if he wasn't working 50hr+/wk like I am.

The saddest part is how many people have left when all it would've taken is just a few minor value changes to keep them. It's not a chicken or an egg scenario where "no one plays pvp because no one plays pvp". Before people get bored in leagues, there are TONS of people in Sarn and queuing for 1v1 and not just for Leo. I had no problems getting matches in talisman or perandus while people were actually still playing in the leagues. People eventually stop playing PVP not because no one is playing, but because of all the unbalanced/no t-value/aoe shotgun skills that everyone ends up using because "LOL I JUST BEAT YOU WITH MY 20c SPARK/LA/EA/TRAP/BV BUILD YOU NOOB" is what all the scrubs love to say.

At this point, for me, there's no turning back because I'm not going to start playing another game. I play Fallout/Bethesda games when they come out and POE - that's about it. Don't have enough time or motivation to pick up another game. And that's pretty sad for GGG that the only reason some people play is because they don't feel like picking up another game lol. But whatever, they get users and from a Blizz...uh...business standpoint, that's all that matters. But it's just a game - whoopty doo!

All I can recommend is not buying any more supporter packs until they at least attempt to fix some of these issues. Also continue to give feedback, and keep playing your instrument as the Titanic seemingly sinks.

haha this made me laugh. i was supposed to feel offended, but its true that this game requires less and less knowledge as the time goes by.

There were no personal attack or anything in my post, just a simple observation how brainless everything has became.
