If your connection has <100 latency, you should use Lockstep mode. If you are already using Lockstep, post a WinMTR report in the support forums and someone will get your connection sorted out.

thanks for the reply, I'm doing fine now - I was a little bit angry that my evening's worth of racing was spoilt "unfairly". I think I'll take your hint and monitor my latency closer (usually it's around 40-60ms).
