Merc bleed counts as posion for Low Tolerance?

I play Mamba Stike of the Viper and my damage counts on enemies NOT being poisoned when I hit them - that's the main source of my damage.

I use Sniper merc, that has 0 poison chance on gear or stones, but I noticed on multiple ocasions, that my poison doesn't proc on enemies, mainly bosses.

So, i have to use Akoya's Gaze, to force merc NOT to do any damage and use her as curse merc only. Which is okay'ish, but it feels weird.

Merc has bleed in kit, so my guess is that Low Tolerance doesn't proc because of it? It check any DoT instead of poison specifically?
